Our

(aakasha tattava). Perfect balance of these elements keeps the body in
good order. For healthy living our daily activities and dietetic program

These 5 elements are responsible for the structure of the universe; they
are the building blocks of the material world. Everything in the
universe, animate and inanimate, is made up of the five mahabhutas. The
five elements are: aakash (ether), vayu (air), agni (fire), jala
(water), and prithvi(earth)
Every animate and inanimate being is made up of atoms, the 5 mahabutas can be explained with the example of an atom:
- Aakash (space component) is the space which the protons and
neutrons occupy as well as the space in which the electrons revolve.
- Vayu (air component) represents the force of movement of the electrons around the nucleus.
- Agni (fire component) represents the latent energy in an atom as well as the released energy when an atom is broken down.
- Jala (water component) gives the force of cohesion that allow
the protons, neutrons and electrons to remain attracted towards each
other.
- Prithvi (earth component) contributes the solid portion of the atom (i.e. the electrons, protons, and neutrons)

Methods
Methods followed in
treatment through Naturopathy. Below are few popular techniques which have
benefited millions of people across the globe.
- Mud Therapy: Mud therapy is done with mud pack and mud bath. It is useful in curing
skin conditions such as boils, pimples and patches, and is also
effective in improving digestion. Mud absorbs toxins from the body,
relaxes the body and reduces swelling.
- Water Therapy: Water is one of the most important elements of human body. Water
therapy utilizes water in cold and hot state for application on the
body. Water is also utilized in bathing/body packs, drinking water
therapy and enema
- Accupressure: Human body has approximately 1000 acupressure points of which 90-100
are very useful in curing common ailments. Acupressure therapy could
cure many conditions and help in maintaining a good health. It is useful
in improving digestive system, heart, eyes and strengthening joints
- Massage Therapt:
This therapy is useful in improving blood circulation, toning muscles
and relieving fatigue. It also helps in opening up clogged pores of the
skin which is essential for letting harmful toxins go from the body with
sweat.
- Air Therapy: Oxygen from green plants of nature is very beneficial for human body.
Therefore walk in fresh air is essential for overall wellbeing. This
must be combined with the right way of breathing.
- Colour Therapy: There exists a balance of colors in human body. When we fall sick this
balance is disturbed. Color therapy is helpful in reestablishing the
balance of colors in human body and curing the disorder.
- Yoga Therapy: Yoga, the Sanskrit word for “union”, is a practice that uses posture and breathing techniques to induce relaxation and improve strength, and its health benefits may surpass those of any other activity.
- Juice Therapy: Fruit-juices do the work of purifying blood. They cast out the toxic
elements accumulated in the cells of the body. Fruit juices increase
the quantity of urine through which all toxic elements of the body are
thrown out. Raw vegetables of their juices do the work of reconstruction
in the body. Vegetable-juices produce new cells in place of those that
have been destroyed owing to a disease. So fruit juices and vegetable-juices are supplementary to each other.
The best time for taking fruit-juices is the first half of the day.
Vegetable juices can be taken at any time of the day.
- Fasting: Fasting is a period
of abstinence from all food or specific items. Fluids are consumed in sufficient
quantity to satisfy thirst and physiologic requirements. During the absence
of food, the body will systematically cleanse itself of everything except
vital tissue. Starvation will occur only when the body is forced to use
vital tissue to survive. Although protein is being used by the body during
the fast, a person fasting even 40 days on water will not suffer a deficiency
of protein, vitamins, minerals or fatty acids. In the breakdown of unhealthy
cells, all essential substances are used and conserved in a most extraordinary
manner. There is an unwarranted fear of fasting that strength diminishes
from the catabolism of proteins from muscle fibers. Even during long fasts,
the number of muscle fibers remains the same. Although the healthy cells
may be reduced in size and strength for a time, they remain perfectly sound.
- Mudra Therapy:
The finger tips
of every living being have many concentrated nerve root endings which
are free energy discharge points. Science also confirms that around
every tip there is a concentration of free electrons.
By touching together
of the tips of the fingers or the finger tips to other parts of the
palms this free energy (Prana) is redirected back into the body along
specified channels, back up to the brain.
The redirected energy traveling
through the nerves stimulates the various chakras. Keeping the hands
on the knees stimulates the Gupta Nari and makes the energy start from
the Mooladhara Chakra.
Thus, the tension
applied to the nerve/s and/or the neural or psycho-neural circuits formed
by the mudras help in balancing the five basic elements (or building
blocks). This balancing of the tension, and redirection of the internal
energy effects the changes in veins, tendons, glands and sensory organs,
to bring the body back to a healthy state.
